Since the struts I've been working on for ages are about ready I Decided to get the ones in the 1200 out ready. I need the tops to put on the other struts so they need to be prepped first.
Getting the struts out is pretty easy once you've done it a few times.
Jack up the front end and take the wheel off.
Theres 2 bolts behind the hub that need to be taken out. Also the brake line needs to be undone. Have some rag and a little throw away container to catch any brake fluid that seeps out.
Under the bonnet these 3 nuts need to be undone from the strut tops. Do them last. Also if your planning on taking the strut apart to get to the spring , it's a good idea to loosen that middle nut while its still bolted into the car :) Just crack it and you will thank yourself later.
There it is all out! Note the brake line tucked up to stop the fluid dripping out.
