Snow Near Cradle Mountain

A couple of weeks back we popped up to the snow for a look. The Jack Russels love it! Few pics for the album :)

They run round in the snow for ages without gettting cold. Merlin even gets in water up to his belly! Cold cold water! Doesnt seem to slow him down one bit.

200B

The 200B is still going strong. Its my main daily driver at the moment as Dad has borrowed the 1200 for awhile. After the Bluebird got a wash I decided to give the Banana some love too :) Theres some bad rust in the hatch I chipped out and fish oiled to slow it down some. Also fixed the rear wiper which hasnt worked since I got it. Found out the carpet was pretty wet from sitting in there chipping rust too so I puleed it up some to get it dry. Not sure if the wets from the carcover i put in there wet awhile ago (most likely) or if its been a small leak somewhere. The kangaroo bag has to be the cleanest sample I've ever seen! Its locked up behind a panel so it stays safe :)

The petrol float in the carby! look how pick the glass is :) The petrol filter even has a brass tap on the line

A Good Wash

Gave the Bluebird a good wash today, the motor getting the most love :) Its still dirty but no where near as bad as it was. Before and after photos below. Click to make those pics big!

A New Aquisition!

I recently won this off Ebay of all places! Its a 1963 Datsun Bluebird. Such a good buy at the sum of $162.50. The Body is in great condition and has been painted in the last few years sometime. The motor needs a few bits and some love before trying to crank it over. Hopefully its a goer! The interior will need some re-upholsetering, but man, for the money its a bargain!


Oh yeah it has a full syncho gearbox and a badge to proove it :)

A nice car wash and polish should bring up the paintwork even better.
