Random

Havent taken any pics lately so here are some older random ones.

This photo is of an inside of an esky. Its blackest night at the time of the pic. The white walls of the Esky reflect the flash so well that it looks like brightest day.

Pic of the moon. No tripod either :)
The shower door exploded by itself. No one was near it at the time, nor had ANYONE been near it for 4 or so hours. I've actually had the luck of seeing something like this before! Tempered glass can do this so be careful :) There was a large bucket of glass by the time I had cleaned it all up. It cost $1900 to get fixed!! You could buy a whole new sexy shower unit fer that. Good thing Insurance paid fer it. Posted by Picasa

Petrol

I was refueling the Fast car today and noticed they had finally gotten rid of those ridiculous signs saying not to use your mobile anywhere near the bowser or while refuelling. These things have always been a source of amusement for me. I mean c'mon. What amazes me is this myth penetrated all the way to the bowsers themselves! I would say the majority of fires at petrol stations is due to static electricity and actually, now i think on it, thats pretty much what the new signs said.

What lunch meat are you?

You are BOLOGNA. The baloney meat.

Loaded Walk

Well went and picked up a load of stuff from my Grans today after work. Also took the Dogs fer a walk. Took some more flower pics. Really need a Macro lens for this stuff :) But the effects are still nice. They look better at there full res of 2048 x whatever though.
Daisy the slightly psychotic dog after a walk, sits in the Datto.
Merlin climbed up the stuff in the back and tapped Alison on the shoulder :P Posted by Picasa

Work

This is the path I walk atleast 5 days a week on the way to work. I actually walk on the otherside of the road now to break it up some. It's usually murkier looking than this in the morning. Especially from my sleep hazed eyes. I'm not a morning person.

This would be where I work. Very indiscrete looking. It really is a call centre not some up market Bordello. Though Im sure working in a Bordello would be rather an interesting affair.

Heres my desk. When Im busy it swiftly begins looking rather messy. When I'm not its rather clean...too clean.... Everyone notices and gives me more work then :) I'm not going to say what I do but you may be able to work it out from the interesting amount of things scattered upon my desk. The bottom right draw there is the "MacGyver" drawer. It has everything one would need to perform all kinds of amazing feats of ingenuity. Posted by Picasa

Datsun 1200

Not many people know that I have 2 cars. This is the second one. The 1973 Datsun 1200 Wagon. This Pic is a little old as now it's been lowered around 2 inches and fish oil sprayed on all the rusty patches to preserve it a little better while its waits for a paint job. This car is cool. It has heaps of space in the back, goes well, is cheap on petrol and it matters not so much if I scratch or dent it. It cost me all of $450 dorrahs and had around 3 months of rego left. Its a beast. Poo Cackers

The Tasmanian Native Hen -Gallinula mortierii. Lovingly known to me as a Poo-Cacker :) These things can run quite well and have glowing ebil red eyes. They kind of remind me of a velociraptor off jurassic park. But only because of the way they run, after that theres no resemblance :) They are found throughout Tasmania excepting the west and south-west. They are flightless but can swim and run quite well to make up from it. When sensing danger in water in fact they will duck under the water and come up in another location. Posted by Picasa

Holm Oak

Went down to Stuart and Bec's today. Always a nice trip. We let the jackies out to run up the driveway. they thouroughly enjoyed it after the long drive in the car. While driving past we snapped a shot of Merlin backed up ont a tree. For some reason the only time he will poo is if its on top of something or against something. no idea where he picked this up from. But thought I'd share it :)

This is Milly the pregnat cat. We looked after her awhile as a kitten. Soon as she saw the dogs she scurried up this tree and then quite happily hunkered down for 20 minutes or so until we vacated the area. The said tree is around 7 metres high?

Daisy had a stomach full of wallaby meat from the night before. Any gas emitting from her body was dangerous to breathe. If anyone has eaten wallaby and seen the consenquences the next day will know what I'm talking about. After a hot day of running around the vineyard she was thirsty enough to go some of my beer. Posted by Picasa

Amphibian army

Tadpoles......I recently discovered these little amphibians starting their first steps on the road to world domination from my water snail tank that is located outside. Strangly there were non in the tank right next to it. I guess the Carnivorous Salamander may have had something to do with that. Something I couldn't figure out was how the frogs got in there in the first place. Maybe they streniously climbled the hedge leaf by leaf branch by branch till they could leap onto the deck to finally plunge into the murky tanky depths where the sounds of froggy love could be heard emanating from a kermit who had once travelled the same road to get there.......But no.... Please refer to Pic 2 and the unusually long toes of the frog. This would indeed be some kind of rare treefrog! He had simply scaled the glass sides of the tank with his uber feet bestowed on him by mother nature in all her glory. Not for the task of scaling glass surfaces of course but for jumping around in shrubberies. I later found this little rascal in a tarp that had been wanting to be cleaned out of the yard for a little while. I have never seen a frog of this sort in the area and was quite suprised to find one at all. He was very cold to the touch and eventually hopped off to entertain his harem of girl frogs who were no doubt waiting close by in the hedge.

Flowers

Because I'm big and manly, I like to take pictures of flowers. Though there 8 Megapixel SLR glory has no doubt been stripped away by the ebil internet mojo society thats life work is to do such things, maybe you can still see the appreciation I find for my pal Mother Nature.

Hi all!

I may just get into this blogging business. Photos make it fun after all.

This is me thinking that if I stay very still everyone will go away and I can continue my pleasant hermit ways. Or, I could be about to break out in dance....
